LG shows their flexible 18-inch OLED display at CES 2016
It wasn’t only cars that were introduced at CES 2016, LG is to unveil their new 18-inch OLED display that “can be rolled up like a newspaper”.
This type of technology has already been introduced by its competitors, such as Samsung, Sharp, and Sony. However, LG is the only manufacturer that has implemented this technology in a smartphone, the G Flex – that is already in its second generation. The company, as well as Samsung also uses this type of flexible displays on TVs. Flexible displays like this one presented by LG at CES are possible because of the so-called OLED lighting technology.
