How a pilot landed a private jet with no landing gear
It is no argument that the landing gear of a plane plays a crucial role when it comes to reducing the speed of a plane after touch down. Under normal circumstances, it would be unthinkable to land a plane without the landing gear fully deployed. However, just recently, a pilot brilliantly landed a plane in Southern California with no landing gear. Make no mistake, he didn’t actually do it on purpose.
“The private jet’s landing gear failed to open as the plane approached Palm Springs International Airport Friday around 3:20pm”, according to officials.
Landing without a landing gear because of a mechanical malfunction is known as a belly landing.
