New gold created by Swiss scientists is almost as light as air
Scientists at ETH Zurich have developed a new form of gold that promises to revolutionize the way jewelry and watches are made. The new gold weights a thousand times less than conventional gold, however it is almost impossible to even tell the difference between the two with the naked eye – however, the new form of the substance is light enough to stay afloat on top of milk foam.
