Bugatti Vision Gran Turismo turns video game into stunning reality
The first automobiles to be called Bugatti came under the Automobiles Ettore Bugatti emblem, made by their namesake, starting back in 1909. Since then, the automaker founded on blending art and speed has been through a few iterations. Ettore Bugatti died in 1947, after which the name was upheld almost purely by aircraft parts sales, (see our piece on Bugatti’s Le Reve Bleu). The original company finally closed its doors in 1963 when the parts business was sold to Hispano-Suiza.
A few half-hearted attempts at reviving Bugatti were made, but nothing really stuck until an Italian entrepreneur bought the brand in the late 1980s and formed Bugatti Automobili S.p.S.
