Tesla finally launches Model X, and with a ‘bioweapon defense mode’ button
Since 2012, consumers have been eagerly awaiting the launch of Tesla’s Model X. After several postponements, project revisions and iterations, the company has finally announced that their Model X crossover sport utility vehicle (SUV) should finally hit the market.
Fully electric, the car has space for seven passengers and a system based on two engines capable of achieving very high speeds – hitting ۱۰۰ km/h from standstill in just 3.2 seconds. According to the manufacturer, Model X has autonomy to rotate approximately 400 kilometers on a single charge. The delay in launching the vehicle means that all the pre-sale “Signature Edition” units are already sold out, even with their starting price of US$ 130,000.
